I was talking to a friend tonight and explaining all the challenges that I have been experiencing with my hosting server. AOL has blacklisted them and anytime I e-mail a friend at AOL, it gets returned. She said ‘why do you put up with it’? Now that’s an interesting question. I have kept that e-mail account because it is connected to my website for Entre-Net Graphics.

how a pluto transit can transform
Author: JeanneAug 31
After I returned from California a friend and I re-checked my relocation chart. We had both missed the critical change in my rising sign to 3 Aquarius – in exact opposition to my 5 Pluto in Leo (ouch).
Pluto is the planet of transformation. While Saturn says ‘you should’, Pluto says ‘you will’. There are no options. I was really living the life of ‘I should’ while in California. I kept thinking that if I did this, then that should happen. And frequently it did not. I found many stumbling blocks (some of my own making).
Finally I said ‘OK god, I give up’. and all of a sudden miracles happened. I sold my condo and car in one day, friends helped me pack, another friend let me store my kitchen and other smaller stuff in a garage. I was ‘outta’ there in 12 days. Headed to SC to live with my mother and father for a time, while I got my health back. Mom made chicken soup and other things she thought would make me better. Read the rest of this entry

Christopher Paolini’s wisdom
Author: JeanneMay 16
There is a saying that goes something like ‘And a child shall lead them’. How many times do you find this true?
About a month or so ago my 14 year old grandson suggested that I read the Inheritance series. He said I would really like it. This series was supposed to contain3 books but now it is going to have a 4th. So, I started book 1, Eragon, with a great deal of skepticism and was quickly hooked. The twists and turns within Christopher Paolini’s plots and the depth of his characters is amazing for one so young. As soon as I finished the first one, I traded it for Eldest and had to wait a few weeks until I could trade that one in for Brisingr. I am now just a bit past the half-way point.
This teenage author is phenomenal! He started writing this series when he was only 15; when Brisingr was published, he was 19. His books are written to capture the imaginations of teens, but sprinkled throughout are wonderful seeds for spiritual thoughts. The following is taken from Pages 478-479 of Brisingr:
‘How am I supposed to know which religion is the true religion? Eragon wondered. Just because someone follows a certain faith does not necessarily mean it is the right path. . . . Perhaps no one religion contains all of the truth of the world. Perhaps every religion contains fragments of the truth and it is our responsibility to identify those fragments and piece them together. Or perhaps the elves [those not like ourselves] are right and there are no gods. But how can I know for sure?”
How do you handle adversity?

Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.
Turning to her daughter, she asked, ‘Tell me, what do you see?’ ‘Carrots, eggs, and coffee,’ she replied. Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma.
